Guelph Security Cameras is a booking line. It is not a security company, not a monitoring service and not a directory. It connects to one local installer that works across the city and the county — the century homes in The Ward, Old University and around Exhibition Park, the south-end subdivisions in Westminster Woods, Clairfields, Pine Ridge and Grange Hill East, the retail and restaurant frontage downtown around St. George's Square and Wyndham Street, the offices and warehouses in the Hanlon Creek Business Park and along Speedvale, Woodlawn, York Road and Watson, and rural properties out through Puslinch, Aberfoyle, Morriston, Arkell, Eden Mills, Ariss, Rockwood and Guelph/Eramosa.
Finding a camera installer in this city mostly happens through a big-box display, a Facebook group, or whoever answers an ad, and a lot of the systems we get called out to repair were installed by somebody who is no longer reachable. The point of this site is a straight line to an installer that carries insurance, quotes in writing before it books, runs proper cable, and hands over the credentials to your own system at the end of the job.
What this site will not do: publish reviews it does not have, invent a star rating, quote a price it cannot stand behind, claim a manufacturer certification or dealer status, promise a monitoring service it does not provide, or sell your phone number to a list of companies who will all call you. This site is new. It says what it can do and nothing more.
What the installer handles
- Home security camera systems — wired PoE IP cameras, doorbell and entry cameras, driveway, garage and yard coverage
- Business and retail systems — tills and counters, entries, back-of-house doors, stock rooms, rear alleys, restaurants and patios
- Warehouse, industrial and yard systems — loading docks, overhead doors, fence lines, trailer parking, gates and scrap areas
- NVR and DVR setup, storage and retention sizing, and remote viewing on phone and desktop
- Structured network cabling, PoE switches, long runs, fibre and inter-building wireless links
- Repairs, upgrades, camera relocation and re-aiming on existing systems, whoever installed them
- Pre-wiring during construction and renovation, before the drywall goes up
What it does not handle
Alarm monitoring and dispatch, access control and card systems as a standalone product, fire alarm systems, licensed electrical work, trenching and excavation, and structural work. Where a job needs any of those, you will be told which trade it belongs to rather than sold a camera package that quietly implies it. Camera systems record events. They do not call anyone, and nothing on this site should be read as saying otherwise.
A note on privacy
Cameras on a business or a shared building point at staff, customers, neighbours and sometimes a public sidewalk, and that carries obligations worth understanding before anything gets aimed. The Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada and the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Ontario publish general guidance, and you should confirm what applies to your own situation. What the installer does at the design stage is practical: cameras kept off washrooms and change areas entirely, privacy masking where a camera would otherwise take in a neighbour's window or a stretch of street it has no reason to see, and a conversation about shared entries and hallways before anything is mounted rather than after somebody objects.
How this works
When you call 548-457-0379 or send the form, your details go straight to the installer. They ask about the property and what you want to be able to see, arrange a site walk where the job needs one, quote it in writing, and do the work under their own insurance. Your information is not sold, not shared with a list of competing companies, and there is no markup added to your bill for the introduction.
What we won't do
- Publish reviews we didn't earn. When we have them, they'll be real ones with names.
- Quote a firm price before someone has seen the job.
- Send anyone into your property who we would not have in our own.
